Hey everyone! I’ve decided to revamp this blog again, and try to keep up with it better this time. Since I am still finishing up school, and I work full time, and I volunteer, I can’t promise extremely frequent posts. I hope to have a natural flow of thoughts and stories, nothing forced. For those of you who are new to the site, let me give you a little background.
My name is Hillary, as you may have guessed. I am a lifelong lover of animals, nature, and the great outdoors. I have a bad case of wanderlust. And I have big dreams and goals for myself. Originally from the midwest, I now live in NorCal and have since Summer 2013. I have an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology, with a minor in Environmental Science. I absolutely love working with animals, I am a veterinary technician in a companion animal hospital and I volunteer once a week at a marine mammal rehabilitation hospital. I can’t even imagine doing anything else with my life. I love to hike, travel, and spend as much time as possible outside away from the hustle and bustle. I think I would like to eventually work more with wildlife rather than companion animals, but for now I am content.
This blog’s new focus will be on the activities of my day to day life: hikes, nature news, my travels, and stories from work/volunteering.
I like to take pictures and will post them, but in no way do I consider myself a photographer. I try to credit the images I post, but if I accidentally miss one and you want it removed, please let me know so I can fix the problem.
If anyone has something interesting they want me to write about, please send it my way!
Enjoy the blog!
